How to book a motorhome and campervan?
Pick your location and dates
To easily and securely rent a motorhome, campervan, or RV with us, start by selecting the location where you wish to begin your road trip. Then choose your travel dates from the start to the end.
Choose and customize your motorhome
Browse our vehicles and choose the one that best suits your needs. You can customize your journey by adding services, such as pet cleaning fees or gas bottle replacements.
Sign in and pay
After confirming your selections, you’ll be asked to create an account and sign in, especially if you need to make partial payments or update travel details. Fill in the necessary information, choose your payment method, and finalize the booking. The Road is Yours!
Please note that all additional services can be changed after booking or upon pickup, ensuring flexibility for your trip!
Traveling outside the destination country with a motorhome
The Nordic Countries
With a Touring Cars rental motorhome, you are allowed to drive freely in the Nordic countries. Driving outside of the Nordic countries is permitted only if permission has been granted by Touring Cars at the time of booking.
If you plan to travel outside the Nordic Countries, you need to ask for approval from the rental station when booking your motorhome.
Europe
Exploring multiple countries is a fantastic benefit of motorhome travel. While cross-border journeys are often possible, please obtain permission from Touring Cars before traveling outside the country of origin. This ensures proper insurance coverage and compliance with local regulations.
Please keep in mind that traveling beyond the country of origin, special insurance requirements need to be followed. Our rental stations hold the right to limit the deductible to TC Plus in case the motorhome is driven outside the country of origin.
To drive your rental motorhome outside the country of origin, a Green Card insurance validity certificate is required. Please inform us well in advance to obtain this document, as it takes a few days to process. Some countries may also require additional traffic insurance. These can be purchased at border crossings if needed.
The Baltic States and Russia
Traveling to Russia, Belarus or Ukraine is not allowed under any circumstances with Touring Cars motorhomes rented from Europe. Traveling to Eastern European countries is allowed for motorhomes rented from Tallinn. When traveling from other rental stations, you’ll need a special permission. Additional insurance may be required for traveling to Eastern European countries.
If you plan to travel outside your country of origin, you need to ask for approval from the rental station when booking your motorhome.
One-way motorhome rentals
A unique way to explore two or more countries during one holiday! With one-way rentals, you can return the motorhome to a different location than the pickup place. One-way rentals always include two full gas bottles without any additional booking.
Keep in mind that one-way rentals are subject to an additional fee starting from 900 EUR (2024). The one-way fee depends on the pickup and drop-off location. To check one-way availability and fee, please proceed to our booking engine. The total prices in the booking engine will include the one-way fee.
Rental prices, additional items and services
The motorhome rental price is formed from the base charge and the daily rental prices. Each calendar day will be charged.
Your rental price includes all of the following services:
- No minimum rental period
- Unlimited rental mileage
- Comprehensive insurance (excess deductible / self-liability limit applies)
- You can pick up or drop off your motorhome by agreed appointment between 08.00 – 18.00, seven days a week. 24/7 rental services are also available, but additional fees and/or limitations may apply depending on the country.
- 24/7 phone service for all roadside questions and assistance
- Rental camper replacement service in case of any major malfunction
- Free VIP airport transfer services for all guests. Service is offered from/to the main airport of each destination country. Please see the list of valid airports in the country page.
- We provide comprehensive personal customer service and introductions to your rental motorhome. We take as much time for customer service at the pickup and drop-off as you need. Average duration of a pickup is 1-2 hours

- Touring Cars provides motorhome rentals with two full gas bottles. These as extra elements are not included in the price and can be additionally added to a booking.
Additional services
Additional driver
All drivers must be registered on in the rental agreement for insurance and deductible to be valid. One driver is included in all rental prices and additional drivers can be added when making a booking, contacting our International Sales Office after booking, or at the rental station during the pickup.
Late / Early service surcharge
Our rental stations are open all year round. We are happy to serve you outside our normal office hours (between 18:00 – 08:00), but these services are subject to additional pricing and availability. Our online booking engine will automatically adjust your rental price if you choose for your service to take place outside office hours.
Final Cleaning
We’ll clean the vehicle for you before your journey. When you return your rental camper, please ensure that all rubbish is taken out from the vehicle, and the toilet cassette is emptied together with grey water tanks. We are happy to do all of that for you with a small additional price. Enjoy your holiday and leave the cleaning and basic drop-off duties to us.
Pet cleaning fee
We welcome furry family members to our rental vehicles! To ensure all clients can enjoy a spotless and allergy free vehicle, any rental camper that carries pets will go through a thorough cleaning and ozone treatment after the rental. This service comes with a small extra price which varies depending on the country. If you´re traveling with a pet, please select the pet cleaning fee from the booking engine.
City Transfers
To make your trip and experience as hassle-free as possible, we are happy to offer you transfer services from and to central locations and hotels, as well as airports. Any additional pickup transfers need to be booked and prepaid – no on the-spot payment option is available.
Changing your drop-off time
Our rental stations are often busy, and vehicles need several hours turnaround time for the drop-off procedure, cleaning and maintenance. It is therefore very important that you return your motorhome on time. Additional fees may be charged if the drop-off takes place later than agreed. If your actions delay the next rental of the camper, we may charge you for any resulting financial losses.
If you wish to change your drop-off time, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance and we will find an alternative time slot for you if possible. Due to the high number of daily rentals, the rental station must approve all changes you wish to make to the drop-off time.
Optional extra items
We have gathered some optional extras to choose from to make your camper holiday even more comfortable. All our rental stations have a wide range of additional on-the-spot items for customizing and maximizing your holiday to another level! These items include child booster seats. camping equipment, mountain bikes, fishing sets, hairdryers, 220 V Inverters, extra cleaning sets (mini hoovers), toasters and coffee machines – compatible with each campervan.
If there is something that is not listed in the booking menu, please, contact us after the booking and we will do our best to get it for you.
Motorhome insurance
Our insurance coverage is divided into two different parts: compulsory insurance and collision insurance.
Compulsory insurance covers all the damages or accidents to the third party caused by the driver.
Collision insurance covers damages to a rental vehicle caused by an accident, fire, or theft. The collision insurance does not cover any interior damages that are not caused by a traffic accident.
Please note that the insurance is not valid if the vehicle is used under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs, or if a damage is caused due to reckless behaviour.
Motorhome collision insurance coverage
All Touring Cars rentals include collision insurance with TC Basic deductible level*. In the case of an accident caused to the motorhome, you need to pay the maximum deductible per damage, per accident, per lost item, or per punitive sanction. The collision insurance covers the part of the monetary loss that exceeds the deductible value per damage.
*The TC Basic deductible level is:
1,500 GBP for Chester rental station (UK)
2,800 EUR for Helsinki and Rovaniemi rental stations (Finland), Keflavik rental station (Iceland), and Tallinn rental station (Estonia)
28,000 SEK for Stockholm rental station (Sweden)
30,000 NOK for Oslo and Tromsø rental stations (Norway)
Deductible level reduction
You can decrease the deductible level by upgrading your insurance from TC Basic to TC Plus* or TC Premium**.
*The TC Plus deductible level is:
1,000 GBP for Chester rental station (UK)
1,200 EUR for Helsinki and Rovaniemi rental stations (Finland), Keflavik rental station (Iceland), and Tallinn rental station (Estonia)
12,000 SEK for Stockholm rental station (Sweden)
15,000 NOK for Oslo and Tromsø rental stations (Norway)
**The TC Premium deductible level is:
500 GBP for Chester rental station (UK)
600 EUR for Helsinki and Rovaniemi rental stations (Finland), Keflavik rental station (Iceland), and Tallinn rental station (Estonia)
6,000 SEK for Stockholm rental station (Sweden)
8,000 NOK for Oslo and Tromsø rental stations (Norway)
Optional windshield and tire protection
In the Nordic countries, gravel roads are still common in the countryside. Small stones may bounce from another vehicle into your windshield and leave a mark or even break it. Unless you are covered by our optional “Windshield and Tire Protection” package, you are liable for the replacement of a broken windshield or punctured tire. The package covers one damage either on a windscreen or on one of the tires. For more damages, repair costs are according to normal prices.
Limitations
The minimum period for lowering the insurance deductible or for the “Windshield and Tire Protection” package is 7 rental days or equivalent payment. All additional drivers need to be named for the insurance to be valid.
The maximum time for deductible reduction is 30 days. The selected deductible level is valid for the whole rental period regardless of the rental duration.
The insurances are valid only in Touring Cars rental station countries. Vehicles cannot be taken abroad without a special agreement with Touring Cars. If you are planning on traveling abroad with a rented vehicle, please inform our International Sales Office.
Deposit
Kindly notice that upon arrival at a rental station, you will have to present a valid credit card with an amount corresponding to your selected deductible level of TC Basic, TC Plus, or TC Premium. The amount will be pre-authorized on your credit card during the pickup service to ensure the payment of possible traffic fines, missing fuel/refilling service, rental extension, and damages.
When you return a vehicle, the authorization of funds from your credit card is released if no interior and exterior damages are discovered. The pre-authorized amount will be available on your account within a few days.
Exclusions to insurance coverage in Iceland
No insurance policy is applicable to damages to the motorhome chassis, water damage, damages caused by wind gusts, damage done by animals, or any other damage derived from driving on roads/surfaces with unsuitable conditions.
The hirer will be responsible for any cost derived from misplacing the motorhome keys or recovering the vehicle in the event of being stuck, submerged, or abandoned unless they are originated by a technical fault of the vehicle. The insurance does not cover damages caused by improper use of the motorhome.
